    Comments:

I purchased a Townie Go 8i about a month ago. At one time I was an avid road bike rider and stopped riding about 25 years ago. Today, at the age of 64 with some physical limitations and plenty of additional weight I needed to start a good exercise regimen. This bike has reinvigorated my love for cycling while also providing me the greatly needed and enjoyable fitness routine. As an old roadie, I was extremely impressed with the Bosch Perfomance mid drive motor which measures my torque and cadence and allows me to maintain a smooth steady cadence when riding without the lurching that may occur in other e-bikes. The technology on this motor provides a great rider experience. This bike allows you to ride on the windiest days without fear of exhaustion to get back home. The Electra pedal and crank geometry are also a great feature. The geometry is great with a more upright positioning, and the ride is smooth. The bike is certainly heavier than my old trek bikes, but the point behind this bike is comfort and pleasure riding with a quality exercise benefit. This bike could also work as a good commuter bike. The 4 motor assist settings are easy to use and the Bosch cycling computer provides all of the necessary readings one would expect. The bike comes with quality Shimano Nexus components, and the 8 speed internal hub drive shifts reliably, gives a cleaner look, and eliminates any potential problems that may occur with a traditional derailleur. My next move is to purchase one for my wife.

    Love this bike!

    About Me

    Comments:

I purchased two of these bikes, one for myself and one for my wife. What I really like in these Bikes are that the pedals are forward of the seat. I had to buy a recumbent bike in order to keep riding due to issues with my prostrate. Since I live in a hilly area, the recumbent bike had its challenges going up hills as you cannot stand on the pedals. Since I purchased this bike, I have had no problems with my prostrate as I am not pushing straight down on the pedals. I have so much fun riding as this bike can flatten out any hill that I come to. I purchased my bikes for Jax Bicycle Center in Yorba Linda and couldn't be happier. I really recommend that you take a test ride and see for yourself.

    Comments:

I am older and out of shape, but I hate stationary bikes. The Townie Go! is easier to mount and a snap to operate. I live in the country and riding miles at a time is a snap. It is also fun to ride around the campground.
